Farewell...
It’s time to say goodbye…

I couldn’t get down to this for quite a time… But we cannot pretend in front ourselves and all of you, that it hasn’t happen. We will never accept what happen and never agree with it. But it has… On 21st September, our beloved Dream Time, my heart and soul… died. Died because of wrong and too late initial diagnosis, of series of incredible mistakes and incompetence of many veterinarians. We fight for his life for 21 long days… We thank for each of these days, as Dream Time wanted so much to be with us and struggled for his life to the very end with such a perseverance and stamina!

He was an extremely special, unique cat for us. Such a relationship with other life being does not happen twice during a lifetime…. He was an extraordinary cat. My sweetheart ... We cannot forgive ourselves that we failed him in the end…  We tried to move Earth and Sky, to do everything, but we are not veterinarians or surgeons. Dream Time was a strong, healthy and large boy. Otherwise he would probably not have survived the first operation… He had intestines blockage that led to necrosis of 7 centimetres of intestines. The necrosis resulted in blood poisoning and severe peritonitis. He survived first surgery but then we needed to operate him twice more because of a series of  unbelievable surgical mistakes and a lot of professional negligence… He had eleven blood transfers that gave us initial hope but in the end could not help him to overcome such a severe condition…

I would like to express my deepest gratitude to such a great group of people that helped us during this extreme ordeal. I’d like to thank all friends that irrespective of date, time, geographical distance and personal inconveniences, travelled to Warsaw, sometimes more than 300 kilometers, usually in the middle of night with their cats to give blood to Dream Time – just because of our one call... We’d like to thank Paulina Włodarczyk and Małgorzata Młynek, Sabina Wojciechowska and Piotr Pilcer,  Anna Stołecka, Katarzyna Jankowska, Maria Dobrowolska, Anna Komender.  It was an incredible venture. Words will never say how we felt and still feel about your support. This was a priceless experience. And don’t think that your effort went to waste. We and Dreamek appreciated any second of his life saved. It was worth it!! We wanted to thank so many others that supported us in many ways during those difficult times… Your support was so much needed and welcomed!!

We would like to thank also Robert Żurawski and his team, for agreeing to take over the veterinarian care of Dream Time at the final stage of his illness and for fighting for his life with such a professional fierceness and dedication. Thank you Doctor! We thank also Jerzy Kemilew from blood bank for his intense personal engagement in Dream Time case.

Our dearest Son, we miss you every single day… Without you nothing will ever be the same. Some part of us died. Please guard us from wherever you are now. We know you can and you will… And thank you for your beautiful kittens, especially incredible sons Olhan and Oiltar that stay with us and resemble you so much in every movement…

 Sweet dreams, Dream Time, honey…
